PAYMENT OPTIONS: Please pay online. You don’t have to pay online but if you order food and don’t show up to the meeting it is your responsibility to pay unless you can fill your spot.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: List any dietary needs in the comments area.

NON-REGISTRATION: You can arrive at the meeting without registering and have coffee and fellowship the day of the meeting. There may be a few meals and sandwiches available but these do go quickly to the early arrivals.

COVID REQUIREMENTS: Just a friendly reminder that indoor masking is still in effect. Even with the Restrictions exemption program in place, masks must be worn at all times except while seated at tables.

Speaker: Tyler Williamson is the Associate Director here at the Centre for Health Informatics. In addition, he is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary and a member of the O’Brien Institute of Public Health and the Alberta Children’s Hospital research Institute. His research interests include health data integration (combining electronic medical record and health administrative data), chronic disease surveillance and research using electronic medical record data, and non-canonical link functions for binomial generalized linear models.  He is a national and internationally recognized in the use of electronic medical record data for public health surveillance, health services research, and practice quality improvement working with organizations such as the Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada’s Marketed Health Products Directorate.

Work at the Centre for Health Informatics at the Cumming School of Medicine is partially supported by the recent awarding of a $100,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park.
